WANTED: Old 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000's era computers, components, and parts!
WHERE: Manitowoc Co. Wisconsin or willing to meet in Manitowoc/Two Rivers area.
I'm looking for old computers, parts, or components that people may have around collecting dust and would like to see taken away, for free.
It doesn't matter if they're working, not working, or if you’re not sure. I will happily come pick them up from you, or would be willing to meet you in Manitowoc Co.
Old motherboards, processors, video cards, sound cards, etc. All accepted no matter the brand.
IBM, Commodore, HP, Dell, Apple, Texas Instruments, Tandy/Radio Shack, old laptops, etc. It doesn't matter.
I’m an old school electronics and computer hobbyist that has the ability to repair and maintain many of these old computers. If they cannot be repaired, then they're carefully stripped of parts to use in repairing other computers, or properly recycled when all else fails.
To be clear, I am NOT looking to buy anything, this is for people looking to get rid of this old stuff for free. It's an alternative to throwing them in the trash or having to wait, or pay, to dump them off at a local recycling event. This not only keeps them out of landfills, but gives the hardware a second chance at life!
What do I do with the stuff I get working? I either pass it on to other retro enthusiasts to do with as they please, keep it, or sell it to buy tools, materials, or parts needed to keep my hobby going.
I am NOT LOOKING FOR PRINTERS, just computers and their respective components and/or peripherals. Disks and disk drives, modems, cartridges, keyboards/mice, and things of that nature are all accepted. However, if all you have is the computer itself, no problem.
This is a hobby, nothing more, it’s something I enjoy doing in my spare time to try and save this stuff from the landfill. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it can't be useful to someone.
Contact me though Craigslist with as much information as you have about the computer, components, or peripherals and I will try and respond in a timely manner.
