We have four purebred, unregistered Kune Kune piglets that are available for purchase. All females. They were born 8/10/25. They will be dewormed before they leave.
Some of them have wattles, some do not. With wattles are $150 and without are $125.
They are very curious and love hanging out around people. Currently, they free range on our farm and come to a call. However, they tend to be a bit jumpy when initially being petted. That being said, all of our pigs we maintain on our farm are extremely well-socialized. While we breed for health and longevity, we also prioritize the temperament of our pigs.
The large black pig pictured with them is their mother, Frank. We obtained her from a small family farm out of Oshkosh in summer of 2023. She’s the limousine of kunes, with a much longer body than most that we’ve seen. She’s our largest female and farrows extremely easily. Though she is not registered, she has both wattles. Another plus to Frank is her extreme maternal nature. She trusts humans and other animals around her babies and doesn’t show aggression, but she has actually tried to surrogate other piglets here on our farm. She loves to be a mom and we hope she passes that trait down to the next generation.
The other large black pig we have pictured without piglets is their father, Nicholas. He also has shown some red coloration in his face as he gets older. He also has a smaller stature than our other boar. Nick is unregistered but purebred from a farm out of Oshkosh. He does not have wattles. He’s extremely mild-mannered and sweet. While we have a registered boar, Nick’s temperament is the reason he is our preferred breeder. He is VERY paternal towards babies and protective of our mommas. We think that those are great traits to continue to breed on.
Kune Kune are an excellent breed of pig to add to any farm or homestead. They have milder manners than most pigs, their short snouts mean they are less likely to root and destroy things, and they are extremely smart. They make great pets, great breeders, and easy meat pigs. While Kunes take about 2 years to grow out to full butchering size, they tend to be cheaper to feed as they can be fed exclusively pasture if conditions are good and pastures are healthy. They also tend to do very well in Wisconsin winters as well as the summer heat. Kune kunes are a sweet, cute, fun breed to raise up for food or friends.
We are a small-scale hobby farm located just north of Shawano, WI. We raise chickens, Nubian crossbreed goats, and Kune Kune pigs. We hope you will consider adding our animals to your farms and families.
